Design
Having chosen to produce glass containers in special shapes, Vetri Speciali S.p.A. has always carried out research focalised on the design and production of the bottle.
Vetri Speciali S.p.A.’s customers include both large and small companies. It is possible to personalise existing items and to give life to new ideas. The glass containers can be produced either in limited quantities or in great numbers. The numbers range from a minimum of 10,000 pieces for a 75 centilitre bottle, to hundreds of thousands of pieces.
The design department, which takes care of the phases going from realisation of the drawings to preparation of the mould, has the possibility of producing a physical demonstrative sample of the item in wood or plexiglas and, if required, a series of glass samples with a pilot mould. This department is equipped with the most innovative systems to be found on the market, and represents the cherry on the Company’s cake.
The glass container production process starts from the raw materials, the main component of which is reclaimed glass, an element obtained from glass recycling and recovery processes.
The vitrifiable mixture, a compound of recycled glass, sand, soda and other components, is placed in the smelting furnaces. At a temperature of about 1600 degrees centigrade, the incandescent magma is ready to be shaped.
The drop of vitrifiable material enters the mould of the shaping machine.
The mouthpiece is shaped by pneumatic compression, and the container is shaped by blowing.
The product is then slowly cooled and, after passing the inspection and packaging phase, is stored in the warehouse, ready to be sent to the customers.

Personalisation
One of the peculiarities of Vetri Speciali is the personalisation of an existing item or the construction of a new item, even for very limited quantities (a few thousand), thus giving Companies of any size the possibility of having their requests satisfied.
Made-to-measure containers, developed and studied even on the basis of simple ideas from the customer, but also assistance with technical, productive and commercial problems.
And if glass is part of the world’s heritage, then Vetri Speciali S.p.A. takes art and colour everywhere. The shape of a glass container thus becomes art that stands the test of time. A better way to present the product contained in the glass.

Glass colors
Glass, an ancient and versatile material. Art inclined to interpret the variety of forms. Perfect for emphasising elegant chromatisms with its transparency.
More then 3000 items in 11 glass colours are therefore the pride and joy of the company, and concrete proof of the wide range of available choices.
The range of glass colours proposed by Vetri Speciali S.p.A. is not, in fact, merely and element surrounding the genesis of the container, but a strongly characterising factor, contributing to differentiate it, and thus becoming a cardinal element, on a par with the shape itself.
Bottle finishes
The peculiarity and functionality of a container are also linked with the type of finish.
As is the case with the multiple glass colours on offer, Vetri Speciali S.p.A. pays the utmost care and attention to the clientele's needs in terms of finishes; we are capable of applying to the various containers produced an incredibly numerous series of finishes, capable of satisfying any possible customer's requests.
It is therefore possible to apply, in compliance with the technical “duties” of the bottle, a series of different types of finishes that can allow for the most appropriate container closure, according to its intended use. Furthermore, within the various typologies one can identify and choose the finishes even on the basis of the special sizes and specifications they must conform to.
